Back River Lighthouse Ruins Trail

From the East:

Drive west on I64 and take exit 267. From exit turn right onto Woodland Road. At the end of Woodland Road, turn right onto Fox Hill Road. Follow Fox Hill Road until it turns into Silver Isles Blvd. Turn left onto Beach Road. Turn left onto State Park Drive. There is street parking on State Park Drive.

From the West, North, or South:

Drive east on I64 and take exit 267. From exit turn left onto Settler’s Landing Road. Follow Settler’s Landing Road to left as it becomes Woodland Road. At the end of Woodland Road, turn right onto Fox Hill Road. Follow Fox Hill Road until it turns into Silver Isles Blvd. Turn left onto Beach Road. Turn left onto State Park Drive. There is street parking on State Park Drive.

Multiuse Loop Trail

From the East or South:

Drive west on I64 and take exit 234A and merge onto Route 199 W. Take exit for Route 60 to Lightfoot. Turn left onto Route 60 W. Turn left onto Centerville Road. Follow Centerville Road for about 3 miles. Turn right into Freedom Park. Park at the Interpretive Center.

From the West or North:

From West or North: Drive east on I64 and take exit 234. Turn right from exit and merge on to Route 199 W. Take exit for Route 60 to Lightfoot. Turn left onto Route 60 W. Turn left onto Centerville Road. Follow Centerville Road for about 3 miles. Turn right into Freedom Park. Park at the Interpretive Center.

Trillium Trail

From the East or South:

Drive west on I64 and take exit 261A to go east on Hampton Roads Center Parkway. Turn right into Sandy Bottom Nature Park. Park at the Nature Center.

From the West or North:

Drive east on I64 and take exit 261A to go east on Hampton Roads Center Parkway. Turn right into Sandy Bottom Nature Park. Park at the Nature Center.

Lookout Tower Trail

From the East or South:

Drive west on I64 and take exit 238. Turn left onto Route 143 E. Turn right onto Rochambeau Drive. Turn left onto Airport Road. Turn left into Waller Mill Park. Take parking ticket to enter park. Entrance fee must be paid at the Visitors’ Center.

From the West or North:

Drive east on I64 and take exit 238. Turn right onto Route 143 E. Immediately turn right onto Rochambeau Drive. Turn left onto Airport Road. Turn left into Waller Mill Park. Take parking ticket to enter park. Entrance fee must be paid at the Visitors’ Center.

White Oak Nature Trail

From the East or South:

Drive west on I64 and take exit 250B. From exit, turn left onto Jefferson Avenue, Route 143 W. Turn right onto Constitution Way into Newport News Park. Follow Constitution Way past the Discovery Center on right. Parking area is on left side of road at trail head. Additional parking is at the Discovery Center.

From the West or North:

Drive east on I64 and take exit 250B onto Ft. Eustis Blvd. Turn left onto Jefferson Avenue, Route 143 W. Turn right onto Constitution Way into Newport News Park. Follow Constitution Way past the Discovery Center on right. Parking area is on left side of road at trail head. Additional parking is at Discovery Center.

Noland Trail

From the East or South:

Drive west on I64 and take exit 258A onto J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Route 17 S. Follow J. Clyde Morris Blvd. until it becomes Avenue of the Arts. Turn left onto Museum Drive. Parking area is on right before museum. Noland Trail is a loop and may be started from either the left or right side of the Mariners’ Museum.

From the West or North:

Drive east on I64 and take exit 258A onto J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Route 17 S. Follow J. Clyde Morris Blvd. until it becomes Avenue of the Arts. Turn left onto Museum Drive. Powhatan Forks/Majestic Oak Trail

From the East or South:

Drive west on I64 and take exit 234B. Turn right onto Newman Road. At the end of Newman Road, turn left onto Riverview Road. Turn right onto York River Park Road. Pay for parking at pay station. Park close to pay station for closest access to trail.

From the West or North:

Drive east on I64 and take exit 234. Turn left on Route 199 which becomes Newman Road. At the end of Newman Road, turn left onto Riverview Road. Turn right onto York River Park Road. Pay for parking at pay station. Park near the pay station for closest access to trail.
